Example is currently putting the finishing touches to his new album, which will feature such production giants as Sub Focus, The Fearless, MJ Cole, Chase And Status and the pineapple loving Calvin Harris.

"Don't Be Bored This Summer, Go To GuilFest!" Featured On First News!

"Guilfest in Guildford has been voted best family festival in the UK! Unlike other festivals, Guilfest isn't too big, overcrowded and scary - it's an independently run, family festival with a very friendly atmosphere.

Not only do you get live music from acts like Tinie Tempah and N-Dubz, there are comedy tents, a 70's disco, food stalls and best of all, a children's area full of stuff just for YOU.

The Guilfest KidZone is run by Pete and Anne from Bigtopmania - a company that supplies children's entertainment, circus acts and attractions, so will be packed full of fun and games.

There will be a fantastic children's theatre, fairground rides, children's talent shows, parades, crafts, dressing up, face painting, hair braiding, acrobatics and circus skills, workshops, story telling and loads more!

Guilfest is right next to Guildford´s outdoor swimming pool so you can go for a refreshing swim if you get too hot, or a shower if you are camping and getting a bit too stinky!

Guilfest is on from the 16th-18th July and tickets cost from £50 for a child for the whole three days and £100 for an adult. Children under 11 go for free.

For more information go to www.guilfest.co.uk."

Roll Deep Featured In The Sun And The Sun Online

"SUNDAY will see a Brrrap Pack takeover of the charts, according to midweek figures. Four British rap singles will be in the top six, early sales suggest. Original Brrrap Packers ROLL DEEP CREW - who spawned DIZZEE RASCAL and WILEY - are at No2 with Good Times. PLAN B is at No4 with She Said, CHIPMUNK's Until You Were Gone is at No5 and PROFESSOR GREEN is No6 with I Need You Tonight.

But there's little else to tempt music fans, with only three new entries in the Top 40 at the moment. Other than Roll Deep, there's just GLEE CAST's Like A Prayer in at No29 and ASH's Mind Control at No36."

With this album, Seth brought folk music to a new, younger audience and has been widely credited with breaking down perceptions and barriers often associated with folk music and its acceptance in the mainstream. Winner of both “Singer of the year” and “Best Album” at the 2007 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, Seth has performed his special brand of folk all over the world and with a brand new album eagerly anticipated for release in June, organisers are delighted to welcome him back to Stoke Park this July.

With three UK Dance Chart number 1s under his belt, a top 40 UK single, remix work with huge artists such as The Prodigy & Deadmau5, and numerous plays on Radio 1, Sub Focus is one of a rare breed to Drum and Bass artists to have truly broken into the mainstream.

BBC 6Music DJ Craig Charles described the album as, “Bringing funk, soul and dub to near perfection”. Having supported ska legends The Specials and playing legendary festival performances all over the country, the bands debut at GuilFest will definitely be one not miss.

GuilFest 2010 is not just about the music – All over the site you will find attractions to entertain and amuse throughout the weekend. Brand new for 2010 are The Ceroc Dance Tent – where you can learn the fusion of modern jive and salsa that is currently sweeping the nation, and The Carnivalanza Salon & Chillout area – where you can alter your image and have a full makeover by one of the fully trained professionals, or simply chillout and appreciate the ambience from a comfy sofa or beanbag. Fugative Appears On The 5:19 Show

Roll Deep Featured On Flavour Magazine

"To celebrate the release of Roll Deep’s ‘Good Times’ single Flavour has 5 ‘Swagga Muffin’ T Shirts to giveaway. As you can see in the picture the T Shirts are modelled by the band and all you have to do to win one is simply write SWAGGA MUFFIN in the box below and winners will be contacted.

‘Good Times’ contrasts Roll Deep’s attitude-driven vehemence with an immediately memorable hook delivered by guest vocalist Jodie Connor. The single captures the essence of Roll Deep’s breakthrough hit ‘The Avenue’ while pushing the boundaries and maximising the crossover potential of their sound.

Roll Deep’s line-up has continued to evolve since the 2005 release of their debut album ‘In At The Deep End’, yet the collective still boasts the talents of founder members Wiley, Breeze, Scratchy, Flow Dan and Danny Weed, as well as crew veterans Brazen, Manga, J2K and Target.

A new Roll Deep album will drop later this year. With grime now embraced by the masses, Roll Deep are back to reclaim their throne."

Roll Deep Featured On BBC Chart Blog

"I've had this CD in my bag for weeks: played it too. It's never been the first one into the ChartBlog CD player of a morning, and never the one that gets a couple of repeat plays before moving on to something else, but it does get played, it does get a warm reaction when it comes on, and this is why it has yet to be introduced into the Fruitbowl of Ruin on my desk.

This is no small achievement, and should be treated as the sincere accolade it clearly is.

(You can probably guess what the Fruitbowl of Ruin is for. Currently there's no fruit in it, it would have to be cut into VERY thin slices in order to fit in between all of the CDs. There's a lot of ruinous music around, sadly.)

(Here's the video. Spaaaaace taaaxxxxxiiiii!)

So, let's see how the Rollers managed to survive under these hostile conditions.

Well the slight DJ Sammy influence is a help. That little snatch of the melody to 'Heaven' in the first line of the chorus acts as a kind of ear-twitcher. Familiar enough to get your attention, not so much of a rip-off that it's annoying. AND there's a bit of a 'Day and Night' thing going on in Jodie's "nine to five, when it's over I can come alive". Plus it's fun. Fun is important."

Chicane's Come Back Featured On Promo News

"And now for something completely different… For Chicane’s new Paul Young-sampling single Come Back, the Lennox Brothers shot this quite extraordinary promo which saw them visiting several European cities. The video is already a Youtube sensation and the brothers explain all here:

“Just before we received the brief Wayne (one half of the Lennox Brothers) had actually just split up with his long term girlfriend. He thought about making her a video to try and win her back, something simple, but unique.

“One week later the track/brief ‘Come Back’ by Chicane arrived.. you couldn’t make it up, it was just perfect timing. So, after 0.332457 milliseconds of thought we came to the conclusion: “Lets get paid to make this video, pretend its all scripted, and don’t tell the label it’s really for Wayne’s girlfriend!” Luckily the label liked our idea, and off we set around Europe with Wayne in his pants and lots of weird stares from the public."

Roll Deep's Same 15 Questions On Female First

"Roll Deep are a MOBO Award-nominated London-based grime music collective with a 25 date club tour and new album on the way, new single "Good Times" is OUT NOW (Click here to download from iTunes) With Wiley as a prominent member and Dizzee Rascal and Tinchy Stryder as former members, I’m surprised I haven’t heard of these lads before.

Ahead of the tour, I asked Roll Deep the 15 Questions We Ask Everyone and found out - EXCLUSIVELY - that they will be ‘dropping’ a new clothing line this summer… get your reading glasses on and check it out.

Hello there little monster, what are you up to?
Hey, we're currently rehearsing for our 25 date club tour which starts 1st April, and working on the rest of our album for release later in the year.

So, tell me a bit about what you’re here to promote?
Well our brand new single 'Goodtimes' ft. Jodie connor, it is out on April 25th so I guess that’s all about that for the time being.

And if we didn’t have any clue as to who you were, what three words sum you up?
Multi-talented musicians

And as Jacko had the Moonwalk and Elvis had the snake hips, what do you have that makes you unique?
I think our diversity and ability to switch things up is a very good strength, plus we kinda helped to pioneer and start the whole 'grime' thing."

4Music's Roll Deep Review

"That Wiley's been busy of late. Fresh from the Top 10 success of Never Be Your Woman, the grime star is back with his East London crew Roll Deep for Good Times, a track that's so catchy it should come with a health warning! It's by far the most commercial track that the collective have done to date, so don't be surprised to see this one race up the charts!"

And if we didn’t have any clue as to who you were, what three words sum you up?

And as Jacko had the Moonwalk and Elvis had the snake hips, what do you have that makes you unique?

"Here's the artwork for Example's new single, 'Kickstarts'. We called it 'Kick Starts' the other day but we were wrong. It's all one word.

Sorry to piss on the pancakes here viewers but we think some computer trickery might have been involved in the final stages of this artwork. We're not saying the whole thing is faked but you know what we mean. Well obvously there wasn't a black 'EXAMPLE' banner hanging from the ceiling, was there. FOR A START"

“Rap Royalty” XXL

Signed to Lil Wayne’s Young Money Records and without question the hottest, most exciting artist to explode onto the US music scene in recent memory, Drake has been confirmed as the special guest on Jay-Z’s forthcoming UK dates. UK fans of the hip hop superstar can see Drake open for Jay–Z at Manchester M.E.N. Arena on Monday June 7th and Birmingham’s LG Arena on Wednesday June 9th. Drake is also confirmed as special guest of Jay-Z for the Wireless festival on July 4th. The June dates precede the release on June 14th of Drake’s hugely anticipated debut album ”Thank Me Later” through Young Money/Cash Money/Universal/Island Records while his play-listed debut future smash single “Over” will be released on May 17th.

Since the release of his debut single “Best I Ever Had” which peaked at no.2 in the US charts, there was no doubting that the 24 year old Canadian native, born Aubrey Drake Graham, would become the hottest property in hip hop and that his debut album would be the most feverishly anticipated long player in years. Drake has already enjoyed Top 10 chart success in the UK as a key member of the Young Money collective whose single “Bedrock” was a huge hit in the UK just recently. You will also have heard Drake’s distinctive flow on big singles from the likes of Jay-Z, Eminem, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Mary J Blige to name but a few. His mini album “So Far Gone” was released last year to keep his enormous fan-base happy while he to readied “Thank Me Later”.

Growing up in Toronto and Memphis, Drake first entered the world of entertainment as a teenager when he starred for 8 years on the hit teen show “Degrassi: The Next Generation”.

Born into a musical family, his father drummed with Jerry Lee Lewis, and his uncle is the legendary bass player Larry Graham.
He released his first mixtape, “Room For Improvement”, in 2006 and his second, “Comeback Season”, followed a year later but it was the release early last year of “So Far Gone”, widely considered one of the best albums of 2009 even though it’s only a mixtape at that stage, that really catapulted Drake to the forefront of the US music scene.

In addition to working on “Thank Me Later”, 2009 also saw him recovering from a painful knee injury, for which he had to undergo surgery. He made his mainstream debut performance at this year’s Grammy Awards, performing alongside hip hop heavyweights Lil Wayne and Eminem for their hit single “Forever”. Drake was proudly introduced by Lil Wayne, showing the world a sign of things to come.

Example "Kickstarts" Popjustice Song Of The Day!

"Example very excitedly sent us this track last month. There are three reasons he was right to be excited.

1. It is amazing.

2. It means he has now scored a solid THREE EXCELLENT SINGLES IN A ROW, meaning that his album will basically be like a greatest hits by the time it comes out.

3. It is quite songy and romantic but without being stupid or shit."

Chicane Interviewed by Ministry Of Sound

Ministry Of Sound interview Nick Bracegirdle ahead of Chicane's live performance this evening - tickets available here

"Turns out Chicane (Nick Bracegirdle) is a busy guy! Fortunately he took some time out from rehearsing his upcoming gig to speak with us...

Fresh out of rehearsals, Nick was eager to talk and excited about his performance at Ministry's The Gallery on Friday night. It will be his first gig at the club in seven years. He reminisced about the legendary 'games room' (a special place where DJ's and performers could go to brush up on their Gran Turismo skills) and said how it would be "tragic" to see the landmark venue close (see here for details about that). "Ministry of Sound represents a whole culture," the 39 year-old said. "It would be like the closing of The Hacienda [13 years ago]."

So what's Chicane up to now? "Busy rehearsing and touring," was the reply. Apparently spending 8 months in the studio isn't as wonderful as it sounds and the man responsible for hits such as Saltwater and Don't Give Up can't wait to get stuck in to his busy tour schedule this year. Nick was quick to point out that he isn't a DJ and is in fact a producer and performer. You'll find him "surrounded by keyboards, laptops and all sorts of equipment," while the rest of his band provide support. "A mix of classic and new tunes with a blend of uplifting and melodic influences," will be on the menu for those of us lucky enough to see him.

Chicane's new single Come Back (released 26th April) has proved a huge hit and its YouTube video has been viewed almost 400,000 times within the last week! "It's all true," said Nick, referring to the video in which he revisits locations where he shared memories with his ex in an effort to win her back. A truly inspirational video - Watch it for yourself...

The big news is that a fresh new album is heading your way this April/May going by the name Giants. Want to hear it? Come along to The Gallery at Ministry of Sound this Friday the 9th to see Chicane performing his new (and no doubt) great new repertoire"

They led a band of UK ‘funk and soul acts that for a time changed the face of the street scene in Britain , dovetailing with the start of the commercial New Romantic movement , Two Tone and the dying embers of punk. The bands chart record speaks for itself, with 6 of their 11 studio albums hitting the UK top ten, and a massive twenty UK top 40 singles – including classics such as “Something About You” and “Lessons In Love”. Sugarscape on Fugative "teen hottie is the next big thing!"

"We first spoke about this lad back in August 09 so if you haven’t heard of Fugative we can forgive you, but only just.

Anyway, give it a few more weeks and not knowing this fitty’s name will get you accused of living under a rock.

The 15-year-old “hip pop” musician is on his way to taking the world by storm and has already worked with producers Younglord and 88 Keyz, who are responsible for some of Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Lady Gaga’s biggest hits.

How cool and catchy is that… and yes there may be a slight crush developing! If you liked the tune then it’s out on May 10 and for more info and to get tickets for his 16th birthday bash go on tohttp://www.myspace.com/fugativeuk.

What do you make of Fugative? Could he be the British Beiber? Give us your thoughts here!"
